Centro Bruce Springsteen en la universidad e Monmouth (2026)

 Siguiendo con noticias sobre Bruce, que han tenido lugar durante este verano, hemos de resaltar la  puesta en marcha el pasado 13 de junio del Centro Bruce Springsteen para la música estadounidense en el campus de la  universidad de Momouth en West Long Branch (Nueva Jersey). El centro se conocía como Archives and Center for American Music y cambió de nombre en enero de del 2026. Su misión preservar el legado de Bruce Springsteen y celebrar la historia de la música estadounidense y su diversidad de artistas y géneros. Las exposiciones en las nuevas instalaciones narran la trayectoria de Springsteen y exploran su proceso creativo. La misión del centro también incluye programas públicos dinámicos, como conciertos, conferencias, películas, talleres, simposios y nuevas exposiciones que exploran aún más el legado de Springsteen y la tradición musical estadounidense.

Bruce Springsteen recibe el premio Ralph Ellison de la ACLU (2026)

 El pasado 30 de julio, Bruce Springsteen recibió el premio Ralph Ellison de la ACLU a los defensores de los Derechos Civiles y las Libertades Civiles en las Artes en las Artes, los Negocios, la Ciencia y los Deportes e interpretó el tema Streets of Minneapolis en la Conferencia Bienal de Liderazgo de la ACLU en Washington D.C.

Nuevo video del tema I'm On Fire (2026)

 El pasado 23 de julio se lanzó un nuevo video del tema I'm On Fire de álbum Born In The USA de 1984. Aquí os lo dejo como curiosidad.

Fallecen Clive Davis y Dave Marsh (2026)

 En los meses de junio y agosto se han producido dos tristes fallecimientos.

Clive Davis falleció el pasado 22 de junio a la edad de 94 años. Fue presidente de la compañía discográfica CBS Records a finales de los sesenta hasta que en 1974 fundó su propia compañía discográfica Arista Records. Gran amante de la música fichó a grandes artistas para CBS como: Janis Joplin, Santana, Chicago, Billy Joel y Bruce Springsteen con el que siguió manteniendo una gran amistad. DEP.

Dave Marsh falleció el pasado 14 de agosto. Dave fue crítico musical y colaboró con diferentes publicaciones como The Village Voice, Newsday o Rolling Stone y locutor de radio. Fue seguidor, biógrafo y amigo personal de Springsteen. Jon Landau, acudió a ver a Bruce por primera vez en concierto en Bostón en 1974 animado por los comentarios que sobre él hizo Dave Marsh. Cómo curiosidad Dave siempre comentó  que uno de los conciertos más emocionantes que había presenciado en su vida  fue el que se celebró en abril de 1981 en Barcelona, la primera vez que Bruce actuaba en España.. Concierto en el Xfinity Mobile Arena de Filadelfia, 30 de mayo (2026)

 El útlimo concierto del Land of Hope and Dreams American Tour iniciado el 31 de marso en Minneapolis, tuvo su final en el Xfinity Mobile Arena de Filadelfía el 30 de mayo. Han sido 20 shows en pabellones cerrados. No tenemos constancia de que se produzca una prolongación de este Tour en otoño por USA y, mucho menos,  por Europa. A la espera de nuevas noticias.  Se ha añadido un nuevo concierto al American tour y la ciudad elegida ha sido Filadelfia (Pensilvania) que cerrará la gira el próximo el 30 de mayo.
