26 de febrero Brisbane (Australia) (2014)

La Gira australiana de Bruce ha llegado a su fin. Después de 11 concierto, el último de ellos, celebrado el pasado 26 de febrero en Brisbane,el rockero americano sorprendió con  varias sorpresas, la primera la interpretación del tema Stayin' Alive de los australianos Bee Gees y la interpretación íntegra de su segundo álbum The Wild, The Innocent and The E Street Shuffe. A Musicares Tribute to Bruce Springsteen (2014)

 La página oficial de Bruce Springsteen acaba de anunciar que el próximo 25 de marzo se publicará en DVD y Blu-Ray este concierto tributo a Bruce Springsteen celebrado en la ciudad de Los Angeles el 8 de febrero de 2013. Entre los artistas participantes, además del propio Bruce, están Sting, Elton John, Patti Smith, Juanes, Neil Young and Crazy Horse, Emmylou Harris, etc.

Bruce continúa su gira por Australia, el pasado miércoles 19 le tocó el turno a Sydney. Ese día interpretó, íntegramente, el album Darkness on the Edge of Town. El Set list de esa noche fue el siguiente:

The Wrestler (2008)

En el 2008, se estrenó la pelicula The Wrestler del director Darren Aranofsky interpretada por Mickey Rourke, Marisa Tomei y Evan Rachel Wood. En su banda sonora sobresalía el tema de Bruce Springsteen, titulado igual que el film, que sonaba con los títulos de crédito del final. Al año siguiente, concretamente el 27 de enero, se publicaba Working on a Dream, que incluía este tema. Aquí os dejo dos videos del tema, el que se realizó para la película y el que se hizo para el single del album.

Light of Day a Tribute to Bruce Springsteen (2003)

Disco de tributo a Bruce Springteen publicado en el 2003 a beneficio de dos fundaciones americanas: The Kristen Ann Car Fund to fight sarcoma cancer y The Parkisón's Foundation in NYC. Se publicó en dos formatos, doble CD y triple CD (edición limitada). El que yo os presento es el formato doble CD. Producido por Salvador Trepat y Bob Benjamin y con la dirección artística de Elliott Murphy, es una buena oportunidad para escuchar las canciones de Bruce interpretadas por otros artistas. 

Entre los temas más destacables figuran: Better Days por  Elliott Murphy, Thunder Road por Dan Bern, Man at the Top por Nils Lofgren, Brillant Disguise por Elvis Costello, Light of Day por Joe Grushecky y The Promise por Graziano Romani.

En el segundo concierto en Adelaida, Bruce y los suyos interpretaron el tema Jungleland, del mítico álbum Born to Run, un gran tema que siempre emociona.

Faith Hill, If I Should Fall Behind (1999)

Faith Hill es una cantante americana de música country. Su primer album, Take Me as I Am, lo publicó en 1993. En 1998, aparece sue segundo trabajo titulado Faith que incluía su éxito This Kiss que llegó a ser número 1 en las listas de música country en los USA. Al año siguiente publica Breathe entre cuyos temas destacaba una versión de If I Should Fall Behind del album Lucky Town de Bruce Springsteen.

La primera gira de Bruce por Sudáfrica, se ha saldado con cuatro conciertos (tres en Ciudad del Cabo y uno en Johannesburgo).
